Broadleaf Weed Management—Targeted Treatments
Dandelions, clover, plantain, and other broadleaf intruders exploit thin turf and nutrient imbalances. The strongest defense is a thick, vigorously growing lawn; when weeds appear, a timely herbicide spot-treatment regains control.
Optimal Treatment Windows
Spring flush (May–mid-June): Plants are actively leafing and most vulnerable.
Fall regrowth (September–early October): Targets young seedlings before winter.
An Integrated Approach
Keep soil pH between 6.5–7.0 for peak nutrient availability.
Mow at recommended height to shade out weed seedlings.
When using selective broadleaf herbicides, follow label rates and never treat during heat stress or drought.
